Life & Death in Elizabethan Norton An in-depth study of the Derbyshire parish of Norton, which is now a suburb of Sheffield. In Elizabethan times it was the principal scythe-making community of northern England. The first part of Chapter 5 is a detailed study of Heeley Bridgehouses, the settlement clustered around Heeley Mill.
